Dare 2 Care 4 Kids
Early Childhood Awareness

Welcome!

Welcome to Dare 2 Care 4 Kids ~

Protecting the hearts and minds of young children is the main focus for this site.  Early childhood educational environements have the greatest amount of opportunities to provide positive role models, consistency in a child's life and a safe place for children to open their wings and grow.  A safe environment would be one that does not allow any kind of abuse to occur and proactive efforts are in place to ensure it!

Unfortunately many children do not experience the best in care and are in learning environments that could be creating long lasting and damaging effects that can last into adulthood. Educating about quality care for children, giving safe and anonymous outlets to report abuse and advocating for improved conditions for children in early childhood environments.

The site is under construction for the time being but the goal is for anonymous reporting of abuses to able to send to local legislators, library of links , and updates on legislation or suggestions of how to advocate on behalf of young children.

A word to the early childcare professional:

Awareness is vital to doing what is best for children.  Every decision and interaction with children is significant due to how impressionable children can be during early childhood.  In order to claim that we, as early childhood educators, are donig what is best for children we need to be sure we are constantly taking the steps necessary to provide what is best.

Lack of awareness is not an allowable excuse when one chooses to be an early childcare provider/professional.  It is an obligatory duty to become trained and skilled in the profession much like nail technicians and hair stylist whose jobs may seem important for the self esteem of today and maybe tomorrow but educators are responsible for esteems of our society's future.

Once awareness is presen, efforts need to be made to reflect on personal beliefs and practices, make necessary improvements, and share the knowledge with others.  Acknowledging that "knowing is not the same as doing" means that acting on what has been learned. Not only should action be taken in the realm of personal influence of children and families but make efforts, even small ones, to improve early childhood education for all children.

Education, awareness and action are the steps to achieving a better environment for children and their future success.
